Lt. Jen Lee Personal Log
Jen paces her quarters, worried about her friends. She hadn't heard from either of her two good friends, Antonia Trull, or Ikuru Vectra in a long time. Not one to press or pry, she has sent them messages to their personal comm areas, but hasn't gotten a response. Realizing that she was working herself up, she decided to try to meditate on the situation, possibly even attempt to use her Betazoid side to sense them.
She walks into her bedroom, and does some stretches. Relaxing the body was almost as important as relaxing the mind. She sits, cross-legged in the middle of the bed, and closes her eyes. Within ten seconds, Ophelia joins her, and curls up between her legs ... providing just the right amount of added warmth, and the soothing sounds of purring. Jen quickly reaches a highly relaxed state.
First, she envisions Vec's face, and tries to see how he is. Almost as quickly as she could bring forth a decent representation, the image fades. If Vectra is onboard, he has effectively shielded himself to her. Jen takes a deep breath, returning herself to the relaxed state. She now imagines Antonia. And again, as fast as she can conjure her up, she fades. With a furrowed brow, Jen arises from her meditative state knowing no more than she did beforehand.
She reaches down, and picks up Ophelia. Hugging her close, and stroking her, more for Jen's comfort than for the cat, she gets up and resumes her pacing, and worrying. Possibly she should contact Captain Quatto about this problem. Shaking her head, hoping she has made more of the situation than she should, she decides to wait another week.
