Duty Log, Lt. Jen Lee

Stardate: 9904.13

With T'mar snoring loudly in the other room behind a forcefield, Jen sits at the console with the information from the void on it. She sighs heavily, and puts her head in her hands, and thinks about how she got into this position.

"I was in the cargo bay, coordinating our teams who were cataloging the food, supplies, and shelter for the people on Melak 3. Everything was progressing nicely. Ensign Sarah had determined that we had enough food, and we were trying to help Ensign Serik to flood proof the shelters. That's when things went crazy."

Jen tries to un-crick her neck, but her movements are impeded by the collar she is forced to wear. She runs her fingers around and under the collar, hoping for some relief from it, but instead, she received a jolt of electricity. Her hands flew from the collar, and she gritted her teeth yet again, not wanting to show pain, even though T'mar was sleeping, and not able to see her. Head back in her hands, she slowly replays the next few minutes of her tale, looking for the places she could have done better.

"OK. The red alert klaxon and lighting started up. Now I know why, but at that point, we didn't. We attempted to double our efforts, wanting to get to battle stations, but knowing we had to finish this work first. It could have meant many lives, in case we needed to do a fast drop at Melak 3.

"The first indication I had that we had been boarded, were the voices behind us, telling us to secure the cargo bay. Out of the corner of my eye as I turned around, I saw Ensign Sarah lunge for the phasers. Unfortunately, the Fullian are good marksmen, and they shot her before she could get three steps."

A tear rolls off Jen's face onto the console. "I just hope the weapons had a stun setting and she is OK. I raised my hands in the air, and went to secure the door as the Fullian had asked. I made it a point to turn my back on them, and activate my comm badge to let security know where the invaders were. I guess the Fullian expected this, because the one I now know as T'mar grabbed me, took my comm badge, and stomped it underfoot. I just hope the message got through, for Sarah, if nothing else."

Sitting up straight, and wiping the tears from her face, Jen continues her thoughts. "Then, we ended up here, on this ship. God, I barely remember anything. All I wanted was to get back home. I was herded to the bridge, where their captain informed me he was going to destroy the Federation. I saw red. I remember finding a long, blunt object which I tried to use as a weapon. They just laughed at me. The captain then said something to T'mar about training me to be his wife or some such thing. That's when I went nuts. It's just not going to happen.

"I tried clubbing the captain, but he's much more agile than he looks. When he gave the order to fire on the Federation, I threw the thing in my hand a the helmsman. I hit him too, but didn't harm him. I did destroy his aim though, which was better than nothing.

"At that point, T'mar bodily picked me up, threw me over his shoulder, and carried me from the bridge. We ended up here, and he put this damned collar on me. He told me that I was to work on the information from the Void, and went to bed. I've got to find a way to let the Federation know where I am."

Jen begins to explore the console in front of her to do just that.
