Double Trouble

Jen/Gabrielle/Jacqueline

"Incoming message for Lt. Jen Lee," the computer announced.

Jen got up from the couch, and went to her console to receive the transmission. She hit the button, and the screen came alive with the image of her sisters Gabrielle and Jacqueline. She barely had time to notice who it was, before they started talking. As is the case with many identical twins, nevermind half Betazoid identical twins, not only do they sound alike and look alike, but they have a tendency to finish eachother's sentences. Having grown up with this, Jen takes it all in stride, and only the flicker of her eyes show the acknowledgment of their being two people she was conversing with, instead of just one.

"Hey sis!"

"We've got some news for you!"

"Oh, you aren't going to believe this!"

"Mom wanted us to wait ..."

" ... till we were calmed down, but ..."

" ... we had to call you right away!"

"You aren't busy are you?"

"No? Good!"

"Whoa, whoa! Wait a minute! Let me answer your questions before you start throwing out more!"

Both sisters roll their dark almond shaped eyes up to the ceiling in an identical display of annoyance, and take a deep breath. "Go ahead ... ," they said in unison.

Smiling at the two, and at least grateful that they had grown up enough to know when to listen, Jen replied, "First off, Hello to both of you, it's good to see you. Second, I can't wait to hear your news. Third, No, I'm not currently busy, though I do have to be somewhere in a few minutes."

The girls' eyes widen, and Gabrielle says, "Well, you aren't in uniform, so where could you be going?"

Elbowing her sister in the ribs, Jacqueline says, "Hush up! You know Mom told us she's actually making friends! Maybe she's got a date!" At that, they turn to their sister, and attempt to see the room around her, wondering if her mystery date was already there. Being teenagers, in their minds, they had already jumped to the conclusion that Jen was definitely going on a date, and that maybe she was hiding something. "Is that it? I knew it!"

This time, it was Jen's turn to roll her eyes. "No, I'm not going on a date. It's a work meeting, thank you very much. Just an informal one. Now, you guys called for a reason, other than to interrogate me about my life?" she said with a smile.

"Oh yeah!"

"We got into Starfleet!"

"This I know ... congratulations again ... now go on ..."

"We got accepted to our major!"

"And we were also told we can take the same classes!"

~~ Oh, those poor professors! They don't know what they've done! ~~

"Hey, we can tell what you just thought!"

"Yeah! We're going to be Psychology majors!"

"Isn't that the best?"

"Girls! It's time for dinner! Tell your sister we love her, and come eat!" Their mother said from off screen.

"OK!" They said in unison.

"We gotta go now."

"We all love you!"

"Bye!!!"

The screen went blank. Jen got up chuckling and went to the replicator. ~~I can just imagine going into a session with them ... you'd come out more confused than when you came in! ~~
