Duty Log, Lt. Jen Lee

Stardate 9904.01

This past week, we had a holodeck training simulation. The Federation found itself outside of a biological weapons facility. Ensigns Serik and Sarah were sent down as part of the "away team." From the reports I have read, they did just fine. They identified the class of weapon as a hemocrystallizer.

had we actually gotten that close, I am not sure if we would have survived. The hemocrystallizers are very potent bioweapons, with not very much known about them. The main thing to know, though, is that even one molecule entering the body can kill in seconds. Once hitting the bloodstream, the molecule converts hemoglobin to a crystallized form of itself, and rapidly causes the entire circulatory system to shut down. At the first sign of an area contaminated with hemocrystallizers, it is always advisable to get out of the area, and to only return in a full biohazard suit.

While my top assistants were helping on the holographic planet, I was up in the Science Lab first studying our old sensor data from the anti-universe, then, brushing up on my anti-viral polymerization techniques. It was generally thought that a virus would be discovered so therefore, I brewed up the top five antidotes. Thankfully, the simulation ended before we had to neutralize or deal with any effects of the hemocrystallizer.
