Personal Log, Lt. Jen Lee

Stardate 9904.29

After toweling dry her hair, and donning her flannel night gown, Jen flops onto the bed, on her back. Ophelia jumps up, and walks over to her, and decides to sit directly on her stomach. Jen looks at the cat and says, "Do you mind?" Ophelia settles down, but stays on Jen's stomach and looks at her. Letting out her breath in a large sigh, she plops her head back onto the bed.

She reaches up, and pets the cat while talking to her. "It's been an interesting few weeks, hasn't it, Ophelia? I'm back from the Fulian ship, we've gone into battle to save my mother's home planet, with me at the helm. Thankfully, we're stopping to make repairs."

Picking up the cat, and placing her off to the side of the bed, Jen got up, then crawled under the blankets. While calling for lights out, she picks Ophelia up again, pulling her under the covers with her. After a minute or two of squirming around getting comfortable, Jen picks up with her monologue again.

"It felt really weird being around the planet that my mother was born on. She rarely talks of her time there, and we have never been back. Actually, this was my first view of it. Granted, I couldn't enjoy it much, trying to fly the Federation, but it seemed like a nice place. I'm glad we were able to help ward off the Dominion from the planet."

Jen pets the cat, and her motions become slower and slower, as she falls deeper and deeper into sleep. The last coherent words she utters for this night is, "Luf you Ophie ... "
